Every day, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from all around the world are making the SME Climate Commitment. The SME Climate Hub is a non-profit global initiative that empowers SMEs to take climate action and build resilient businesses for the future.
By committing to reduce your emissions through the hub, you are counted in the United Nation’s Race to Zero campaign.
We’re proud to announce that we’ve recently made that very commitment, taking further steps to both tackle climate change and gain a competitive business edge.
We are delighted Fleming’s name will be included alongside other businesses, governments, cities and regions, universities and chambers of commerce that have already joined the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign.
Joining this initiative means that we can calculate our emissions with the Business Carbon Calculator and learn how to take action with the Climate Fit education course. Our team can also access support through the Financial Support guide and 1.5°C Business Playbook. In fact, this year alone, we have already made a number of commitments to reduce our carbon, including upgrading our fleet of vans and making a six-figure investment in our factory. Specifically, we have upgraded our factory roof with further insulation and installed a new high-efficiency heating plant and extraction system.
The SME Climate Hub has also partnered with Oxford University to provide SMEs like ours with a library of external tools that offer additional support for small businesses taking concrete steps towards climate action.
